Climb up to the tip so you get to the Golden Gallery, with the possibility of a view over London. Under the church is a spacious crypt, are buried in the many important figures in British history.
The St. Margaret’s Church is an Anglican church. It is located in the suburb of City of Westminster in Parliament Square, next to Westminster Abbey and opposite the Palace of Westminster. It is the parish church of the British Parliament.
Worth seeing is the east window of Flemish stained glass dating from 1509, made to commemorate the engagement of Arthur Tudor, the elder brother of Henry VIII to Catherine of Aragon. Other glass windows reminiscent of William Caxton, the first English printer, Sir Walter Raleigh, who was buried here in 1618, and the poet John Milton, a member of the parish.
Among the persons who were in their final resting place of the church, belongs to the Bohemian engraver Wenceslaus Hollar. Numerous celebrities were married at St. Margaret’s, including Samuel Pepys and his wife, and Winston Churchill and Clementine Hozier. The church was founded in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
